About Us

The pop group "Get Back" was originally started by school teachers/guitarists/singers Dave Bertrand and Jim Gowan in 2009, fuelled by the desire to practice and perform pop/rock music for a hobby. Shortly thereafter, the group was augmented by school music teacher and bassist Cam Porter, whose love for the Beatles and their music helped push Get Back in a definitive direction. In 2013, former school music teachers Ian Burbidge (keyboards/vocals) and Ron Code (drums) joined the group to finally solidify the group and give it it's depth and breadth of talent that it enjoys to this day.
The group performs the music of the Beatles in a bluesy, jazz and pop style, unique to Get Back. The group performs in the Port Elgin, Ontario area but is always looking to broaden its horizons and will consider other venues to perform at in the future.
